You are asking, "What the hell is he talking about?" In short, the aliens have found a way to take over without force and without destroying humanity. They are subliminally programming us through music. Yes, can be cliche' but, they are not paying anyone. They are not taking souls. The mucisians are in no way attached to the aliens, they are pawns.
The aliens take the mucisian they feel as a strong following. They copy their brain and imposse their values and ideas on it. The new brain is then deposited in to a cloned body. The cloning process is not exact, they often cannot get the original music or the hair of the clone right.
The clone is deposited on earth and given the story that he is changing his image. He then ruins the mucicians former reputation and takes possession of all that like thier new music.

The one that got my attention would be Metallica. They were one of the best bands in the nation. Suddenly, they produce an album called Load. Metallica had already went public with having short hair but not crappy music. Metalica lovers went strait to stores and bought the new album of their favorite band. Many took them home, listened to the album and peed on it. The ones that did not had been brainwashed by the music.
Insane Clown Posse, ICP, has been gotten. They used to have a image that hated all those that were "posers". These skater punk wanna bes did not have the intelegence to know that they were being made fun of. ICP released the album "The Amazing Jackel Bros." Their hair was short, metal of the clone frame work stuck out through their skin, and their message became one of HATE everything earthly. Clearly an alien value. They also went into the brian Numb world of Pro Wrestling, Which is a well known front for alien activities. The actors they higher to wrestler are realy clones with no brains so, ICP is an exception.
The only success story is with Weird Al Yankovic. The aliens did clone him but, Al escaped back to earth and captured his clone. The clone had perfect eyes and short blond hair, Al stopped him before he could change the music. Al then punished the clone by making him work with Hanson. Al had to hide, so he underwent surgery to fix his vision and straitened his hair so he could hide when the aliens arrived and questioned him.
